I kid you not when I tell you that MXC is one of my favorite TV shows of ALL TIME! Unfortunatly this show is not running on cable any more, but luckily I was able to feed my MXC addiction on the Internet. Thank you YouTube!
Most Extreme Elimination, later called MXC was a redubbing of the Japanese game show Takeshi’s Castle, which aired from 1986 to 1989. Absolutely the best part of this show was the new english dubbing which was full of insults, bathroom humor, and innuendo. There has never been anything like it, and never will be again, so you just have to watch an episode in order to understand what I’m talking about.

Juggling, acrobatics, dancing, swimming, hula hoops… this video has got it all! And according to the creator:
This is my Honours project edited down to a watchable length - it’s an examination of rhythm and human movement.
In a way it reminds me of the Swim Bodies video, except that this one substitutes fun for creepy.

My favorite two things to watch on TV are Human Weapon, staring Bill Duff and Jason Chambers, and Ultimate Fighting Championship. Human Weapon is a show where Jason and Bill travel around the world studying all of the various martial arts for a week at a time, and then create a one hour documentary covering the history, techniques and science behind the various styles.
Bill is a former pro football player and wrestler, and Jason is a former Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter. They each have their own strengths and weaknesses. Bill for example is huge. At 6′4″ and 280 lbs when he travels around he’s normally the biggest human in the building. It’s especially challenging for the Asian countries to match his size. However, he’s not as quick as a smaller fighter. Jason is very fast, and technically more proficient. At 170lbs and 5′11″ he’s very close to my size. (After the Marines I weighted in at 176 and 6′.)
Jason and Bill have traveled all over the world and studied everything from Muay Thai to Pankration, to Silat - plus about 13 other styles that you may or may not have ever heard of. The show is just plain bad ass, and luckily you can watch a lot of the clips over on the History Channel site.

Seriously, you gotta see this (about 5 times) to believe it. I’m not sure I’ve ever even seen a professional make a goal this awesome, but I know for sure I’ve never seen a kid do anything this cool.
9 year old Max Gerlach was competing during the intermission at a Dallas Stars hockey game when he pulled off this incredible shot. It was so great it made the ESPN highlights as the second best shot of the day (yeah, including the actual pro games)!

Hey, did you hear about the 5 year old kid who killed a 400 pound bear? Well, now you have… and oh yeah, he’s a descendant of Davy Crockett. Figures.
DEWITT, Ark. — A 5-year-old Arkansas County boy killed a black bear Sunday weighing more than 400 pounds.
Tre Merritt, a descendant of Davy Crockett, was hunting with his grandfather Mike Merritt when a black bear happened upon their stand.
“His 10th great-grandfather was Davy Crockett,” Mike Merritt said. “And Davy supposedly killed him a bear when he was three. And Tre is five and really killed a bear. I really doubt if Davy killed one when he was three.”

I had someone send me a clip of a trick play, and as often seems to happen, I got so interested in it that I wanted to see more! Well, you guys know how that works. I figured that if I was already watching all these videos I might as well catalog them to share, and to save anyone else wanting to see a list like this some time.
So, all of you wannabe football players out there - listen up! You better study these plays because you either need to use them against your bitter rivals, or ensure that they don’t use them against you!

Folks I just had to share this video. Stay with me here, even if you’re not a sports fan because I promise this one will be of interest!
This is a video of a Football game from 1994 that just happens to be my own high school alma mater, Plano East Senior High. And this also has to qualify as the most amazing football game of all time. Bar none.

Humans have been taking part in sporting events for thousands of years, and now we’ve got ESPN to broadcast them 24 hours a day! However, you aren’t going to see these gems on TV even if you’re watching at 2am.
We’ve got a little of everything here from Camel Wrestling to Bog Snorkelling and Cheese Rolling to Ladder Racing. And if anyone knows of other insane sports to add please drop a comment below. Now, on with the madness!

I’ve seen a lot of really kick ass acrobatics, but I’ve never seen a compilation like this before! According to the description:
This video shows the 5 different disciplines of sports acrobatics. This videos were recorded 2006 at the world championships of sports acrobatics in Coimbra/Portugal.
But all I can say is that even after watching Kristina Kireeva the contortionist, the Urban Ninjas, the incredible World Class Breakdancers and Chloe Bruce’s Martial Arts - there is stuff here that you won’t see anywhere else!

It’s a relatively well known fact that to throw a heavy punch you should put your body into it. This might sound simple enough in theory. Yet, during the years I used to practice mixed martial arts I observed quite a few people understand the idea, but still utterly fail in its application. Here’s a summary of how to throw a heavy punch, and a couple of nifty tricks I learned to help get it right.

After paying a record $38 million - per year - plus endorsements and other crap that adds up to $250 million, David Beckham has been sitting out games due to injury. This caused massive disappointment all over the country as stadiums were sold out to watch him play, and then he didn’t. This happened here in my home town of Frisco, TX where we have literally the nicest Major League Soccer stadium in the country.
But finally Beckham stepped up to play in a Superliga match on August 14 against D.C. United and scored his first goal in the MLS. It was a very nice free kick, I’ll give him that. But in my opinion bringing Beckham over here was still a horrible move.

Thanks again to Jimbeau for supplying us all with this crazy unicycle video of one of his friends who is basically a member of a unicycle gang called the Unicycle Bastards.
Some filmmakers hung around with them for a couple of days and made a short video of their crazy death-defying actions, but for some reason never shared it, so here it is. A Web exclusive!
