Wow. Robert Gale found and posted this one over on A Welsh View. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend his blog. I’ve been a reader for a long time…
Anyway, some psycho kayak nuts hop on a dam in the UK and go for a 45 MPH ride on down to a screeching halt in the river below. Awesome!

It’s been a while since I featured Unicycle Bastards Invade Portland, and those guys were truly brave (or crazy) – but this little girl has got mad unicycling skills that seem to put those guys to shame!
I’m guessing this little Japanese girl must spend all day, every day, riding this thing. How many broken bones do you think she’s suffered while practicing?

Ok seriously, I didn’t even know most of this was humanly possible. This video contains about 7 minutes of crazy Yo-Yo action. I remember when I was a kid and I got my first yo-yo. I played it till my fingers bled… it was the summer of ‘69. Wait… maybe not.
Anyway, I was proud if I could just “walk the dog”. These guys could do that with the yo-yo attached to their little pinky toe!

Today I was feeling especially lazy. I thought about excercising… for about a minute. Then, since I knew I wasn’t going to actually do it I decided to do a little browsing on the Intertubes and find out what kind of activity other people were engaging in.
It didn’t take long before I decided that jumping rope was the way to go – if I were going to actually do exercise. Which I’m not. But luckily for us, these folks are jumping rope like crazy!

Ok. Regular readers know that I LOVE MMA fights. And when Jimbeau told me that Kimbo got “knocked-the-f” out in 18 seconds I couldn’t believe it! In fact, I think my exact response was, “Show me.”
Well, Jimbeau proceeded to produce the following video, which I must have watched 5 times in disbelief.

A growing number of Chinese women are experimenting with the country’s newest, and most controversial, fitness activity.
Clad in knee-high leather boots, spandex shorts and a sports bra, Xiao Yan struck a pose two feet off the ground, her head glistening with sweat and her arms straining as she suspended herself from a vertical pole.
“Keeping your grip is the hardest part,” she said. “It’s really easy to slide downward.”
Ms. Xiao, 26, who works as a supermarket manager, is one of a growing number of women experimenting with China’s newest, and most controversial, fitness activity: pole dancing.

When I was a kid, my brother and I used to rush home from church on Sundays to watch wrestling on TV. That was back when Kerry Von Erich was the coolest wrestler on the planet, and Gary Hart, Ric Flare and Bruiser Brody were the competition!
Anyway, here is a clip from back in the day when wrestling programs had audiences taking a bit more of an “active” approach to participation! In this Eastern Championship Wrestling bout Cactus Jack asks an audience member to toss him a chair to finish an opponent. But he gets a little more than he bargained for.

The Stingray All-Stars from Marrietta, Georgia are just a serious cheerleading winning machine. According to Cheer XS in 2007 they were number 2, and in 2006 they were number 7. Any way you cut it though, they are awesome.
Here are Katie Nevin and King doing things I’d never seen before. First of all, she’s incredible. And on top of that, he’s a freaking monster to be able to throw her around like that. Simply amazing.

Here’s a little 6 minute video of Adam Menzies, a gymnast, that begins with a whole boatload of trampoline action. This guy is flipping around like crazy, but the funny thing is that he makes it look like the easiest thing in the universe. I mean, he can’t even be breaking a sweat!
Of course, if I were to try any one of these moves not only would I break a sweat, I’d probably also break my neck.
Adam is currently a member of the Canadian National Team for Double Mini Trampoline. He has been training in trampoline, double-mini, and power tumbling since 1998 and is quickly rising internationally. .Adam trains at Flip City Gymnastics in Langley, British Columbia under the guidance of Former 2 time National Champion, Rusty Pierce.

This is awesome! I bet you read the title of this post and expected to see some guy from the NBA pull a Michael Jordan and deliver a 10 foot dunk or something. Wrong! It’s a Japanese guy!
Now, I can’t be sure, but I swear this guy is one of the regular contestants on the Ninja Warrior show I watch all the time. If I recall, I think he’s even a Gold medal Olympian gymnast or something.
Anyway he takes about a 20 foot dive off of a freaking trampoline and as he goes hurdling head first towards the basketball hoop he actually slams one home! Of course, the landing doesn’t look very comfortable to me… but I guess it was worth it.

As we each go off this fine Monday to begin the work week I just thought it might be nice to take a look at someone with a legitimately hard job.
Here is a lady, filmed in Germany, who rides around doing crazy bicycle stunts all day. So the next time you’re feeling a little overworked and stressed out, just think about this lady standing on the seat of her bike while riding circles in front of an auditorium full of people.
And incidentally, at first I was thinking that this must be some sort of weighted bicycle in order to have such great balance, but if you just watch how quickly she manipulates the bike you quickly realize that this is just an ordinary bike. Fascinating!

You know, sometimes I like to watch people who are just incredibly talented because it motivates me to be less… well, ordinary. I don’t really care what you do, as long as you just do it better than anyone else!
Well, here are a batch of guys who have obviously spent enough time with a Soccer ball that it’s become like another appendage to them. Watch what they do, and just think… what if I was this good at my job?
