Unique View of the World Trade Center Towers After They Were Hit

With the many different views during and after the attacks on the World Trade Center, I truly thought I had seen every angle, view, video, etc. However, recently I was made aware of a much different view of the attacks on the World Trade Center: From The International Space Station:

Amazing that it looks so very small from up there and yet is one of the worst disasters in world history.

Santa Claus On A Harley

I’ve seen Santa Claus in many places over the years. I’ve seen him on top of floats during parades, used to visit him on the coal train that used to go through the town I used to live in years ago, Holiday World In Santa Claus, Indiana has their own resident Santa.

But recently I got to see Santa in a truly different way: Riding A Motor Cycle!:

He don’t need no reindeer these days ;) Holiday Holidays All!

Notorious B.I.G. Calms Down A Fussy Baby

Notorious B.I.G. was a well known rapper until his death on March 9, 1997 via a drive by shooting. For all of the hits that he was known for, chances are he probably never thought that his music could help in this very unique way as shown in this video.

The parents of this adorable baby that they named Rachel would simply not calm down when really upset. However, they would start playing the music of Notorious B.I.G. and almost instantly Rachel would stop crying!!

Zen Magnets

We have all played with magnets as a kid. I know I used to have quite the collection of them as a kid. However, the one type of magnet that I never had as a kid are the variety known as rare earth magnets. Now, rare earth magnets are used in a variety of things. For one, they are even used to propel things such as launched roller coasters. The magnets absorb the energy created by the stators on the coaster track to help propel these vehicles at times in excess of 100 m.p.h. One of the first ones to do this was the Superman Escape From Krypton Roller Coaster At Six Flags Magic Mountain near L.A.:

These type of magnets are used in what are known as Zen Magnets. With Zen Magnets, they are so strong that you can put them together with other Zen Magnets and do all kinds of interesting creations with them. This video below shows just how much this one person alone was able to do with them:

Very Very Cool!

Tornado Seen Hitting A Windfarm

With all the things that storm chasers, researchers, and the public have recorded tornadoes hitting have been more than one person can truly fathom.

However in storm chasing circles, the one thing that has been talked about recording on video is of a tornado near a Wind Farm. With the large amount of wind farms in the plains, the possibility of being seen is fairly high but never really had been recorded on video. On November 7, 2011, when a supercell produced several tornadoes (One rated EF4 in Intensity near Tipton, OK) one landed near a Wind Farm in this video. In fact, one of the twisters, went right over several of the windmills and even totally wrapped it up in its circulation. Amazingly, the windmills came out undamaged!

What a Year on Earth Really Looks Like

“How long is one year?”

one year on earth is complicated. What’s the answer to that question? Most of us would reply, “365 days,” but we wouldn’t necessarily be correct. While we’ve been trained and told to round to 365 days, the measurement of a year is much more complex than a simple number. First of all, how do you measure it accurately? It’s not as if we can put a line in space and keep a stopwatch until we get to it again. We’re not on a stable, measured track. In fact, the question, “How long is one year,” only gets more complicated the further we dig into it.

What about leap years? Most of us recognize that ‘one year’ is not exactly 365 days, but is in fact a few hours, days and minutes longer. Rather than adding this extra time every year, however, we compile it into a leap year – really a leap day at the end of February – once every four years. This primitive jury-rigging of the gregorian calendar might nudge it back into place, but it still doesn’t answer the question, “How long is one year?”

Take This Lollipop If You Dare!

While checking into my Facebook messages a few days ago, I got a link to this site posted onto my wall. Of course after being burned by links similar to this one in the past, I was very skeptical and asked the person who posted this to my wall if they even posted this on there. Come to find out, they did post it there and assured me it was a safe site since it was also shown on CNN.

So I went ahead and clicked onto the site, and after it connected to Facebook, this unique video came up and I was amazed to find, it was even tailored to MY Facebook Wall itself!!
