This is an amazing video of a piece of collaborative art being created by four artists painting on one digital canvas simultaneously.
The painting process was unplanned and free form. The artists took cues from each others actions and interpretation of various shapes/colors. Communication was made possible by text chat. The total elapsed time was 4 hours.
The very beginning of the video is random, but you can see how they begin to come together after a bit.

Why don’t American’s come up with unbelievably cool crap like this? I mean you know all those record snow storms we were whining about? They wouldn’t matter if your car had its own set of tank tread snowshoes!
Essentially you just drive your Volkswagen bug, or Ford F150 up onto these tank treads and then remove the tires and bolt it in place. The steering, braking and acceleration function like normal – except that you can drive over your neighbors (literally) and anything else in sight.

My brother pointed me to this clip from the Daily Show in which Stephen Colbert rips Greece a new one for it’s fiscal mismanagement.
Funny stuff. Watch it.

God, I love the guys over at College Humor. They have the greatest podcast on Earth. Besides GeekBrief.TV of course. And if I was ever going to subscribe to another podcast on my iPhone other than GeekBrief – which is preposterous I mean – it would most definitely be College Humor. Not that I would ever do that since I told Cali that the ONLY podcast on my phone is GeekBrief. (Well, that and WealthNation.FM – like the radio!)
But I digress. And so now to change the subject, here is a little vid from our friends at College Humor called, Mortal Kombat is NOT a Tournament! Um. For those of you who live in a box, Mortal Kombat is a video game. Yeah, if you didn’t know that, this is not going to be funny. Well, maybe it will. But I’m not going to judge you if it isn’t. (Yes, I am.)

This video was forwarded on to me from my dad via mail and titled whoisthisguy.wmv! And I have to echo that question! Who the heck is this guy???
Seriously these are some of the most amazing soccer skills I’ve ever seen, no matter how many takes they scrapped while making this little video. This guy kicks a soccerball through a rolling tire, over a street to hit a beercan, and even throws something in the air and pegs it with the ball in mid-flight! Again, I’ve never seen anything like it…

Creative ideas are everywhere, if you know how to listen.
In this article I’m going to show you how you can automatically split videos into images and then use those images to generate traffic for your website. When John Pozadzides (aka the man behind One Man’s Blog) did this, he got 10,000 pageviews on a single blog post in just 7 days.

Today Andrew Joseph (Joe) Stack had an extraordinary day. Presumably, he packed his lunch, had a cup of coffee, lit his house on fire, then hopped in a plane and flew it into a building full of 190 IRS employees.
Why? Well, he was a little more pissed off about taxes than the rest of us. …To say the least.
Here is a local news report of the fire reported to be his house. Interestingly, there was a woman and a kid inside who were rescued by neighbors. Wonder who they were?

Hey there ladies. I don’t want you to get to thinking that just because this is One MAN’S Blog that I’ve forgotten about you! No way, The Man LOVES the ladies! So today’s blog post is just for you!
First of all, you need to start out by watching the video of Sam the Koala, saved after a wildefire by firefighters in Australia. It’s OK. I’ll wait, cause that’s the kind of guy I am…
Next, check out these pictures of a rat posing for the camera on Flickr. Don’t worry, I’ll be here when you get back. By the way, can I make you some dinner? Or give you a foot massage?
Ok, next, I’ve got a nice little video here to just cap off the day and round out the cuteness. Enjoy!

Here is an advertisement that is definitely doing it’s job! I’ve posted several videos of Rube Goldberg machines in the past, so take a look at them if you haven’t seen one. But the concept of a Rube Goldberg machine is that you build something extremely complex to do a simple job.
Well, the guys that made this video were hired to do it in order to create a viral video. They spent 4 days setting up a warehouse and then 180 hours setting up the contraption. Very worth it if you ask me! Enjoy.

I’m all for protecting the kids from seeing things they really shouldn’t be seeing, so I understand and agree with certain things not being shown on public television. But I also recognize that sometimes NOT getting shown on TV can actually be a huge benefit!
First of all, when marketers are free from the normal constraints of advertising sometimes they can come up with really “attractive” ads. And the ten banned commercials below are great examples of advertisements which obviously received excellent Return On Investment based on the sheer number of online views each one received. Indeed, these are the most popular of all banned commercials.
I don’t know about you, but I’d be happy to have one of my ads viewed as many times as the worst performing on this list…

This is a speech that Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, gave at Stanford University in 2005 for the graduation commencement. (Thanks to Elie for sharing it with me.) In it, Steve recounts three personal stories in which he advocates following your heart and doing what you love.
Personally, I found his speech to be touching and motivational, so I wanted to share it with you guys. Of course, if you haven’t seen it, you also need to check out the World’s Most Inspiring Story – Dick and Rick Hoyt.

We all know that construction workers are crazy. I mean come on. You can’t stand outside in the sun all day wearing a hardhat, boots, gloves and overalls without frying your brain just a little bit! And now, we have real evidence caught on video that these guys are out of control!
