The Real Estate world has been changing dramatically since average people began to gain access to MLS listings on line. Sites such as Realtor.com will allow you to search for a new home from the comfort of your own, and without the pressure felt when working with an agent. While sites like Zillow.com and Reply.com help you determine the actual value of any piece of property. But Redfin.com is about to seriously bring power to the people.
Redfin.com offers an amazing list of features for home buyers and sellers alike. The interface allows users to scroll over live maps of neighborhoods and highlights just homes for sale that meet criteria you select. When hovering a mouse over a home that is for sale basic information pops up allowing searchers to quickly and logically view homes, features and prices in a given area very efficiently.
Additionally, Redfin.com allows communication between buyers and sellers. For example, a buyer can ask why a home is more expensive than others around it and the seller can respond with details and even photos.
So what’s the bad news? Well, Redfin.com has limited coverage throughout the US. I guess the only good news is that we’re making progress…
