Hi. My name is John, and I’m a comedy-oholic. They say that the first step to recovery is admitting you’ve got a problem. Well, I am completely addicted to Comedy Central Presents, a series of 30 minute specials of just about every comedian you can imagine. And I’ve seen them ALL!
Just to be clear, I don’t just watch Comedy Central at home. I also have XM satellite radio in my car and I listen to the comedy channel when I’m driving around! Now, you’d think all this exposure to comedy would mean some of it would rub off on me. WRONG! Nothing funny about me. But I have developed a keen sense of picking out the best and brightest, and here is a small collection of some of my favorites.
First, let’s start with Stephen Lynch the comedic genius. And I mean that in the truest sense of the word. He’s got a very unique style, and essentially his comedy is comprised of nothing but songs. Oh, and they are all completely unacceptable for kids! Still, he’s freakin funny! Oh, and he can really sing when he wants to.
Jim Gaffigan is next on the list, and funny as hell! After you watch this clip you’ll never be able to eat a Hot Pocket again without thinking about Gaffigan. I’m not kidding, if I’m in the grocery store with my wife you can’t get me by the frozen foods isle or I’ll make a scene about the Hot Pockets…
This compilation clip from Daniel Tosh is NOT for the kiddos. Plenty of bad language and all that. But crazy funny…
Mike Birbiglia. What can I say about Mike Birbiglia? We go way back. Mike and I grew up on the mean streets of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts together. And we used to hang out a LOT with Vanilla Ice. Here’s Mike doing his Comedy Central special.

These comedians haven’t been coming in any particular order, so the fact that Brian Regan is last on the list doesn’t mean jack squat. Well, it might mean something psychologically to me at least… but heck, even I don’t know what! So shut up and just enjoy the jokes.
You, sir, are a man after my own heart. Birbigs, Tosh, Gaffigan (hooootttt pockets), and Regan are some of my favorites. Excellent clips and post!
What, no rodney carrington?? One of my favourite american comedians
What?!?!?!?!?
No Jim Norton or Louis CK??? I may be a little out there, but these guys are comedic geniuses…

Guess I am out of touch with the comedy scene these days, but these guys do have great deliveries and presence.
Daniel Tosh’s way to use these kind of words is simply amazing. They say timing is the most important thing in comedy. He has a wonderful timing.
The only one I’ve heard of is Stephen Lynch (sorry (: ) but he truly is a comedy genius.
Laughter and smiling don’t cost a penny, get them whilst they are free !
Jim Gaffigan is a funny guy, so was mitch hedburg and ofcourse, steven write
