Man I love this song. George Thorogood is one of the greatest rockers of all time, and this is one of the greatest songs of all time!
I wish I was cool enough that the head nurse would have told the other nurses I was bad to the bone when I was born. Alas, I’m pretty sure that the only thing I got, was slapped on the ass!
By the way, here are the lyrics so you can all sign along!
On the day I was born
The nurses all gathered ’round
And they gazed in wide wonder
At the joy they had found
The head nurse spoke up
Said “leave this one alone”
She could tell right away
That I was bad to the boneBad to the bone
Bad to the bone
B-B-B-B-Bad
B-B-B-B-Bad
B-B-B-B-Bad
Bad to the boneI broke a thousand hearts
Before I met you
I’ll break a thousand more, baby
Before I am through
I wanna be yours pretty baby
Yours and yours alone
I’m here to tell ya honey
That I’m bad to the bone
Bad to the bone
B-B-B-Bad
B-B-B-Bad
B-B-B-Bad
Bad to the boneSOLO
I make a rich woman beg
I’ll make a good woman steal
I’ll make an old woman blush
And make a young girl squeal
I wanna be yours pretty baby
Yours and yours alone
I’m here to tell ya honey
That I’m bad to the bone
B-B-B-B-Bad
B-B-B-B-Bad
B-B-B-B-Bad
Bad to the boneSOLO 2
And when I walk the streets
Kings and Queens step aside
Every woman I meet
They all stay satisfied
I wanna tell ya pretty baby
Well Ya see I make my own
I’m here to tell ya honey
That I’m bad to the bone
Bad to the bone
B-B-B-B-Bad
B-B-B-Bad
B-B-B-Bad
Bad to the bone
And what the heck here is a bonus gift with purchase! A little George Thorogood doing Who Do You Love…
My favorite is “I Drink Alone” followed by “If you don’t start drinking, I’m gonna leave”
Kim:)
“… get a haircut abd get a new job” my favourite…

Razor Ramon.. Bad to The Bone!
Great posting. Thorogood is one of my all-time favorites. In 2003, at Summerfest, the largest musical festival on the planet and in fact going on right now at the lakefront in Milwaukee, had the band rockin’ the house. The place was packed. There were no chairs, just everyone dancin’, spillin’ beer on each other and havin’ a great time! My dad used to be in the concert business in Milwaukee so I saw a lot of great bands but George Thorogood and The Destroyers rates up at the top! One of the baddest!
