And now the moment you’ve all been waiting for. I’ve slowly but surely been editing, exporting and uploading the WordCamp 2008 San Francisco videos, and I managed to get Matt Mullenweg’s State of the Word presentation up last night.
The video turned out pretty good (except for one little 30 second spot in the middle when the tape ran out… doah!), and when you watch it below I would highly recommend that you maximize the video to full screen. The quality in full screen view is great on my MacBook Pro, so I’m assuming it’s gonna work for everyone.
In order to maximize the screen, just click on the little icon in the player window that looks like four arrows pointing in all directions. Oh, and if you click on the little “plus” icon you can leave a comment right within the video.
Don’t forget that there are about 30 WordCamp videos here now from the last three WordCamp’s I attended, so there is an amazing amount of information if you are just learning WordPress. Specifically there are videos from 2007, and from 2008.
If you’d like to see the previous State of the Word addresses, here is Matt earlier this year in Dallas, and Matt last year in San Francisco. Enjoy.
Finally, don’t forget to link to Matt’s Web site from your blog with his new URL http://ma.tt. Somehow he’s fallen from the #1 spot in Google, but we need to push him back to the top! (Oh, and feel free to link to me with “John P.” I’m finally #1 on Google!)
He listed 2-3 of the web hosting partners. I don’t know which because I was busy changing the tape as fast as possible, but I assume he mentioned ServerBeach and some of the other Web hosting partners listed on the WordPress site.

John,
Thanks so much for doing these! I’ll be watching them as soon as I can, maybe even this weekend.
What did Matt say when he started talking ’bout webhostings?
