I Broke My MacBook Pro

John P.

February 19, 2009 By John P.

dead-macbook-proSo, I have this backpack that holds my laptop in a zippered pouch on the back, and all of my awesome camera gear on the front. Of course, the primary security mechanism for the laptop is a zipper to actually hold it inside when you walk around.

Yeah. This is what happens when you don’t actually zip that zipper and let your laptop fall out onto the concrete as you walk around like a complete dumbass.

To make matters worse, this happened as I was walking in to work yesterday, so there were witnesses. Now all of the guys at the office keep making jokes about how I’m going to break everything around me. And no one will let me anywhere near their computers.

Well, all I have to say is, at least I wasn’t letting my cat torture my MacBook like Travis does!

Ouch! That has got to hurt. Just looking at those pictures made me check my backpack zippers that they were working well. The worst case I’ve ever seen is my business partner was going through airport secrutiy, and a TSA guy wanted to check his laptop bag out with his $4,000 Alienware laptop inside. As he was opening, my friend told him to be careful, and the guy didn’t pay attention and dropped it on the hard ground with a “crack.” It broke his LCD screen and black crap was oozing out all over. My friend lost it.

BTW, the guy was Charlie Plitt from CEVO, so you can imagine Charlie watching his laptop get smashed by a TSA agent. ;)

Oh that…sucks. At least you did it, and it wasn’t somebody else who did it to you.

    And to think…

I was planning on asking you if you knew anyone that had a Macbook/Macbook Pro for sale.

    …now I know better.

And now you have a motive to change your laptop, if laptop is not repairlale.
    P.S. Cat is very nice
