“Condition 1” Antarctic Weather
It’s getting kind of hot here in Texas. Like it’s nearly 100 degrees already. So even though we’re used to the heat, we’ll all be whining about how hot is is really soon. And really, that’s fair. I mean people do occasionally die from heat exhaustion.
Then again, if you compare Texas heat to Antartic cold… we’ll, they’ve got us completely whipped! Here. See what I mean…
This video was filmed at McMurdo Station, where it is relatively sheltered by the surrounding hills. The weather is classified as being Condition 3 (nice weather), Condition 2 (not so nice), or Condition 1…

I’m thinking of global warming. Does the “condition 1” have any contribution to the effect of global warming? Or… does the global warming become the reason of “condition 1”?

Oh man wow, yeah that is really bad, I don’t know how those people can stand to stay there… I much prefer the hot weather, in fact I don’t understand how some folks prefer colder areas …. it just means you will be cooped up inside some building for most of the time. 100 degrees may be really hot but its much better then the cold .. brrr

Oh gawd!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please don’t ever ever ever take me there! I will definitely complain when I’m hot, but, being cold SCARES me!!! I don’t know why – I’m actually from Colorado. Of course, I only lived there the first eight months of my life, but, we’ve gone back plenty as loads of family still live there and we used to go skiing. It just scares the bejabbers outta me – one of those odd, you-can’t-explain-what-the-hell-your-problem-is fears – same way with bees. LOL

Holy Cow! We are experiencing the first real chills of winter down here in South Africa, but it means I am wearing long pants for the first time this year. My family in Sweden will sit outside shirtless, enjoying beers in this kind of weather, and I think they will be more adaptable to this kind of antarctic weather than me. BRRRRRR!!!!
Better to be hot then toooo cold. Condition 1 means you cant really drive your car of fly the plane.
