thank you for this nice blogpost.
“wait, are these women naked?!?!” Since the agent said that they would be contractually obligated to do a racy commercial, i think those women appear to be naked indeed, that’s why that guy smashed into the stuff in front of him. He had a hard time believing his eyes, i would imagine, pardon the pun. 8)
A commercial like this wouldn’t be much of a fuss here in Europe but i guess in the US it’s a statement to prove the hypocrisy of nudity that’s blocked from tv. I personnally find that kind of commercial over the top and degrading towards women in general.
Advertising and marketing in the 21st century is still hung up on showing women as sex objects, that’s why i believe the world needs more women in top positions in business, so that they can show the world that a woman is more than just a sex object only. I already knew this for years, but i grew up with a lot more openness about nudity, which is not necessarily a bonus.
