J.P. Morgan was interested in buying a pearl pin. The jeweler he approached found the perfect pin and sent it in a box to Morgan with a bill for $5,000.
The following day the box was returned wirh a note from Morgan:
I like the pin, but I don’t like the price. If you will accept the enclosed check for $4,000, please send back the box which is sealed with the seal unbroken.”
The jeweler was quite displeased and immediately returned the check. When he later opened the box to get the pin he found a check from Morgan for $5,000.
This probably explains how JP Morgan came to be one of the richest and most powerful men ever to live. The only problem with this tactic is that you can only use it once…
I like the idea, is just like the story i heard from my friend.
one day a child brought to the hospital and a good doctor cure the child. the mother told the doctor, I don`t have money but please accept this hand made wallet from me. the doctor say “I don`t practice for sentimental value give me 1,000 dollar the mother get 5.000 dollar from the wallet and give the doctor 1,000 dollar and said “your a good doctor but i hope your a better person”
Lol. if i am the doctor i really wish to know what inside the wallet ^_^
