Big Changes to One Man’s Blog

John P.

April 9, 2007 By John P.

John PozadzidesGood Morning everyone! Today I’ve made a signifigant change to the theme of the blog. I did this for a few reasons, all of which have to do with improving the user experience.

I’ll issue another more complete post later, but in the meantime I’m in the process of de-bugging this theme, so if you run across any issues please drop me a comment here and let me know so I can resolve them quickly.

Also, if you have any suggestions for changes or improvements please make them.

    Jim,

    Thanks.

With regard to the RSS feed, the main reason that I don’t advertise the full feed is that I’ve noticed that a lot of my posts break in RSS. For example, when I post videos or audio files, etc. The secondary reason is that I often post very long articles, and I always have a hard time reading those in my RSS reader or e-mail feeds.

It’s a difficult situation because I think it comes down to personal preference and unfortunatly RSS isn’t flexible enough to allow both a full feed and a partial feed. I’ll give it another look though and see if I can come up with something. I honestly don’t care if people read my content on the site or in their other preferred software. I’m just thrilled that so many people pay attention at all. :-)

    Take care,

    John

Site looks great. I really think it is easier to read.
One think I find kind of annoying, is your rss feed doesn’t show the whole story. I know you did this so people like myself would come to the site. I still find it annoying. But great blog.
