Ok. I’ve got a question for everyone. At what point does female bodybuilding reach the peak of the “sexy” plateau and begin going back downhill from there?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of healthy female bodies (like the “fitness trend” towards pole dancing), but at some point it seems to me these ladies (generously assuming they are all ladies) cross a threshold and simply no longer look good.
I guess the real question is, at what point are these women no longer “hot”?
Say hello to Aki Nishimoto – 3 time Miss Japan. She is incredibly toned and lean, and also has a deep fake tan. How’s this looking to you guys? Oh, and she’s a former Karate competitors, so she can kick your ass!
never hot at all..trust me
Sexuality is in the eye of the beholder. Asking if these women are attractive is like asking for a definitive answer on what temperature a room should be at. Some people will find them very attractive others will feel like it does nothing for them. The point it becomes interesting to me is when people feel repulsed by it. I find it especially interesting when people think that a particularly body type is more masculine or more feminine. A lot of these issues reflect 19 century and early twentieth century scientific thinking. The idea that their is a point where men and women become too masculine or too feminine.
So lets start from first principles – any modern scientist will tell you that race doesn’t exist, or rather their are genetic traits that in certain combinations can be expressed on the body, we then layer a set of cultural values and meanings on top of those genetic expressions and this then shapes peoples minds, that “race” is both hugely complex and largely meaningless. If, however I want back a hundred years – race was clearly a science, there were learned papers about the Jew vs the Negro, there was huge artifice of interlinked ideas, if you suggested then that race didn’t existed you would have been ignored and told to shut up. By the way the word for race science is Eugenics. Whilst in the last 100 years Eugenics has withered and died and equally illogical pile of links and cultural assumptions has gone from strength to strength and now sits at the core of lost of biological science thinking – its called sexology – the science of sex. Hopefully you can see where I am going with this. Sex, gender, sexuality etc is actually all junk science – yes we can see are a huge range of overlapping traits and yes their is reproduction and replication of DNA, but how perceive these things are much more important than the reality. The problem here is that from within a paradigm it is very hard to see outside it, to see different ways the data can be organised. There is also huge fear around these area’s, to function in our society knowing your place is critical to functioning (and yes that’s a class based reference), in our society its critical to know what “sex” you are, so much so that we surgically alter babies to meet the needs of doctors, parents and courts. This discussion about beauty and muscles in humans is just one more outflow from that confusion, about the need to justify who we say we are. Hence the desire for standards when there cannot be, for truths when their really is only opinions.
I have respect about the activity. Every day hard work for a perfect body but this is to much.
I tis to maculine for a woman and unfortunately is not all of this natural…
I applaud any woman who chooses to improve her body, health as a positive development. To answer the question though I think a woman goes from hot to not when one has to ask “Is that a man or a woman” or states to themselves “That is just too much” or something to that effect. I think these women certainly have a place and should be respected, but as to being hot- not!
i don` t like bodybuilder womens, but every people shoud do what they want,,, it`s my opinion))))))
Hey this is a great post, just would like to see more!
I find girls with six packs hot but these who look like wrestlers and you have hard time figuring out, if it’s a woman or a man, are awful.
It’s personal preference just how fit sexy is. They’re all lovely, and fit.
I thank thier fanstic,id ike to date a welbult female body builder.well done to all, musculer black women are sexy hot.good luck ,e-mail me anytime you need a man who will support and stand by your dreams and goals..
It’s definitely subjective, depending on who is looking at the pic/video/real woman. Some people, maybe the athletic type, like this look, while your average couch potato might not. It could be that the male wants to be the dominant of the pair, so having a woman like this will definitely cramp his style. Or, if you are a traditional guy, this for sure won’t be your thing, compared with a “softer”, more feminine look.
As to how I feel about it, personally, I don’t find it attractive at all.
You completed a few fine points there. I did a search on the subject and found nearly all persons will go along with with your blog.
I think a women have the right to do what they want, including bodybuilding. If they feel good doing it and love themselves in the mirror, that’s what count right!! I say confidence is what matters, and those women have lots, trust me! A confident woman is a beautiful woman.
Same as most here, some are hot and some are not. Men or women when they get too pumped just look wrong. However slightly exaggerated muscle tone on both looks great. If you can look at a body builder and see the steroids talking THAT is not sexy. At all.
Just spent a half hour of my life browsing all the comments. It’s amazing that the first posting was somewhere around 3 years ago and the comments keep coming.
In all that I have read above, I am surprised that no one has mentioned or wondered about how these bodybuilding women look when they are not pumped for competition. For anyone who has ever tried or considered trying bodybuilding (or just heavy into weight lifting), you know there is a massive difference between how you look pumped versus “unpumped”. I would be willing to bet most of them look much more curvey and feminine when their muscles are a little more relaxed.
Amazing videos,awesome,freaky women…………..just like men
My question is, why the does it matter that they’re not “hot”? I don’t think they really care what you think. I don’t think they really care what they look like, because that’s not the POINT.
if these women were supermodels, yeah, I would say that there might be a problem. But they’re not, they’re bodybuilders, the whole POINT is for them to challenge and build their bodies….NOT to look hot.
Women don’t have to look “pretty” all the time. GASP! They’re people, just like the rest of us!
I find them all very attractive. Their dedication to the sport of bodybuilding is unquestionable as well. I think it takes a more chauvinistic man to find this grotesque. Beautiful women come in all shapes and appearances… it’s also subjective. Their personalities are a factor too.
To make a silly joke, if we were to be married she could carry ME over the threshold (I’m honestly not a very big guy). ;)
Some are hot, some are not

Wow, Amazing Video. Girl like a man..
I think that these ladies are lovely. You see their dedication to a sport that was once a man’s sport. I have seen some very built women with very big muscles. With that in mind, you have to remember that these women are ladies no matter how you look at. Granted, they are bigger than most men and those men feel intimidated, but they still have feelings and should be respected for their hard work. You have to remember that these women are only ripped and vainy during the competition season. In the off season, they have more body fat which makes them look thicker(sexier). I’m single now but if I were to meet a bodybuilding lady that peaked my interest, which all of them do, I would definitly date her. I don’t like a woman who is so skinny that she looks like she is starving, but I do not want a woman bigger (fatter) than me and I’m a big man. It is all according to ones taste if these muscular women appeal to you. I love them and feel that there should be more. I would definitly love to wrestle one.
