Tutorial: How to Grow Marijuana at Home

John P.

March 23, 2008 By John P.

How to Grow MarijuanaOk. I swear you guys all must think I’m a drug addict or something because first I wrote an article about How Cocaine is Made, then How Crack is Made, and now How to Grow Your Own Marijuana… but I swear I’ve never taken an illegal drug in my life!

In fact, unlike all of our politicians who just claim they “never inhaled”, I honestly have never even seen an actual marijuana cigarette. But perhaps therein lies the curiosity. After watching these videos you’ll know exactly how people grow this stuff, so whenever you hear about a drug bust on the news it’ll no longer be mysterious.

How to Grow Marijuana at Home

This first video (4 parts totaling 30 minutes) is narrated by a guy with a cool British accent, and these guys clearly have a healthy budget because it’s definitely a professional looking setup. The bad news is that you’ve got to wait through 1 minute of intro crap at the beginning of the first video. You can just pause the video and let it buffer, then skip 1 minute into it to start watching.

What I think is funny is that at the beginning they talk about “growing for home consumption”, but it seems to me to be a huge amount of work for just one person to sit around smoking at home.

THC Seeds – How To Grow Marijuana

Holy crap, here is a whole different series, and the narrators clearly are consumers of their own product, if you know what I mean… just remember “Fresh air is your friend!”

haha I’d like to see the tie of mental illness to the tie of the degrading marijuana to a class C drug. (comment posted.)

    people are so misinformed.

thanks for educating us on the “dark side.”

FYI – the chemical makeup of the combusted marijuana is actually known to fight types of cancer and increase brain activity in younger children. (I don’t recommend getting your kids high, that’s probably still illegal in most spots.)

This is in regards to “Joe’s” post…”the chemical makeup of the combusted marijuana is actually know to fight types of cancer & increase brain activity in younger children”. This is the most UNeducated & misinformed statement I’ve read all week. And before I begin, Im not some dumb stoner…I do smoke on occasion, and I have a medical card allowing me to do so. I’m also an SEC certified commodities trader with a large firm in Boston. And I’ve got a bachelors & masters degree. This is not meant as me bragging, but so you see who you are “talking” with. I’m educated and I am a HUGE fan of doing research before I open my mouth.

Lets take the first part of your statement about combusted marijuana and cancer fighting properties. None of this statement is true. The 2 properties of marijuana that produce a “wellness” effect are THC & CBD. Neither fight cancer, but offer cancer (and other terminally ill & pain management patients) a better quality of life. Marijuana has been proven time & time again to offer pain relief, the ability to relax and be comfortable, and to fight nausea associated with cancer, amongst other uses. And it does not need to be “combusted” to do so.

Your views of cannabis would fit in with the old propaganda films like Reefer Madness. Many health conscious people I know, ingest (i.e. EAT) cooked cannabis butter, oils, honey, etc in their daily recipes. You do not only need smoke it to feel its effects. In fact, it is highly recommended that patiets with cancer do NOT smoke it, but consume it in edibles. These can range from the hippy favorite gooey ganja balls, to cannabis cookies & brownies, cakes, candies all the way up to complete meals such as your favorite pasta dish prepared with cannabis infused olive oil and topped with marinara.

There are companies on the market now offering cannabis sodas, juices, and healthy smoothie concoctions. Knowledge is king my friend, and I’d suggest catching up on the times. And in regards to your statement about cannabis increasing brain activity in children, I’m not even going to justify this sentence’s existence with a reply. Its absurd, plain & simple.

Read, read, then read somemore. And sift through the chaff until you reach an educated, truthful conclusion.

enjoyed your How To collection. it’s interesting that you note when we hear of a grow-op bust on the news that we know exactly what they’re talking about. is this keeping the police honest? generally most indoor marijuana grow-ops are safe.

There is no reason why a blogger such as yourself needs to actively do ANYTHING you post. I’ve seen some crazy posts on blogs. This is nothing.

    Hey John,

For those of us that have never messed with the stuff, who’d have known it was such a tedious process. I always figured it was easy to grow and you could just break off a branch and smoke it whenever you wanted. Thanks for the education.

BTW, when you coming on a bike ride with Bruce and I? It’s a blast and a great way to unwind. I have a bike you can use since you gave yours to your brother. We could strap a laptop to it if you really want us to.

The UK authorities, in their wisdom, down rated the drug to Class C and don’t now usually prosecute for usage (but will for supply). With the rise in stronger derivatives, they are now realising they made a mistake, lots more mental illness.

And yeah, all our British accents are cool :)

…but I swear I’ve never taken an illegal drug in my life!….

hehe John, so why you call it life at all ???

sorry joking. I was witnessing when police-officers in Thailand burned down a whole field… they couldn’t walk and talk after that anymore but were very happy…

    cheers
