OpenCamp is Just 18 Days Away and the CrAzInEsS Continues!

WOW! I don’t know that I’ve ever been so excited about a conference in my whole life. And it has nothing to do with the fact that it’s one that I’m helping to organize! Usually that is a major detractor actually. You do so much work that you just don’t have any fun! But OpenCamp is all about fun, learning, and socializing. And we are BRINGING it by the boatload!!!

Let’s review a few key highlights:

  • We’ve got our very own photo contest running with some AMAZING prizes sponsored by Image Wizards. All you have to do is upload your photo to our Flickr group to be eligible to win that picture printed on AluminArte!
  • The Golden Knights are coming to OpenCamp to do Tandem jumps with some of our speakers and celebs, and also for a night time demonstration jump on Friday night that everyone is welcome to attend!
  • After the Friday night demonstration jump we’ve got the big Welcome party lined up at the hotel. Only registered attendees can come to the party festivities so get signed up soon!
  • Saturday night we’ve got the magnificent Geoff Smith LIVE in concert from OpenCamp central at the Crowne Plaza! Geoff is amazing and we’ll be live broadcasting his performance to the web so people all around the world will be participating!
  • We’ve got about 100 prizes to give away at OpenCamp, so the odds are very good that people who attend will walk away with more than they bargained for! Some amazing prizes include a Canon T2i Digital SLR, an Ergohuman office chair, several ZOMMs, and just thousands of dollars worth of other awesomeness!
  • Oh, lets not forget about education! We’ve got over 60 speakers lined up to bring the information you need to be more successful online! Our schedule is absolutely amazing.

If ALL of that isn’t enough, we’ve also teamed up with Proxomo to have a pre-OpenCamp happy hour next Monday at CoHabitat in Dallas!

Believe me, I could go on about all the other stuff coming up at OpenCamp, but really, that is enough, right? If you aren’t registered yet you need to get yourself over to the OpenCamp site and register now! I can’t wait to see everyone there!

  3. I’d really consider getting MODx involved with OpenCamp. Incredible CMS and they pass our security mustard. FireHost is going to put our full marketing muscle behind them.

    1. Hmmm. Would have been happy to get them involved if I had ever heard of them before. ;-) If you get a chance tell one of the developers to contact me and perhaps we can have them at a monthly OpenCamp meetup to introduce their CMS to everyone!
