I kid you not when I tell you that MXC is one of my favorite TV shows of ALL TIME! Unfortunatly this show is not running on cable any more, but luckily I was able to feed my MXC addiction on the Internet. Thank you YouTube!
Most Extreme Elimination, later called MXC was a redubbing of the Japanese game show Takeshi’s Castle, which aired from 1986 to 1989. Absolutely the best part of this show was the new english dubbing which was full of insults, bathroom humor, and innuendo. There has never been anything like it, and never will be again, so you just have to watch an episode in order to understand what I’m talking about.
We’ll start out with the Rotating Surfboard of Death! This one just kills me…
Here is the Tiny Trike competition:
Next comes Sinkers and Floaters:
At the end of every show they did a run down of the most painful eliminations, and here is a compendium someone put together of 25 hillarious ones. Remember to really listen for the comments as the contestants are going down.
Here is a complete show (19 minutes) from start to finish. This one is the Medics vs. the Gamblers:
Now everyone remember… until next time, don’t get eliminated!
A same kind of is done in Japan named as the “Takeshie’s Castle”.Yes it is indeed fun to watch it.
It looks like most of the videos have been removed from YouTube, John. I was only able to get the Tiny Trike video to work.
Holy crap that was fast!
I swear, I think someone at YouTube reads my blog because there are always things that are up for like a year, then as soon as I post them they come down literally the next day. That cannot be a coincidence!
I’ll have to try to find some replacements (unless someone else finds some good ones) and post them when I get a chance. :-(
John
That sucks..
Well its flattering they read your blog, but it screws up your video posts.
Maybe they just have flags on high traffic sites who embed videos?
Kim:)
Yeah I’ve noticed that it happens quite a bit when I read your posts. It’s too bad, too, because I’m sure that they would have been funny clips.
MXC seemed a little bit stupid at first, but it got way funnier once I really started listening to that commentary. Then it wasn’t just another ridiculous Japanese show.
i LOVE this show!!! isnt it still on spike late nights? i dont know, oh well. this show is still amazing.
Oh wow did they finally take it off of Spike? That show as classic.. bad dubbing and WTF games made that show hilarious..
i think they did take it off it was so great though. depressing…bad spike!!!lol
OMG, that one video is SO FUNNY!!! I would love to see more of that show!
We have a show like this called “ninja warrior”
I can watch it for hours and hours..lol
this is also my favorite’s TV show before, but unfortunately I can’t see anymore…
one thing that make this show is funny is because the commentator is very funny and smart, also the comment of the Japanese contestant when they fail or when they yelling they can do it to encourage them self. but until the last of the game, I’ll never see the contestant can win the game, all lose in finale combat.
Just wanted to let everyone know that I updated this post and replaced a bunch of the vids. So if you wanted to watch MXC, it’s ready to go now!
John
nice vids, somehow it reminds me on Takeshis castle some 10 years ago
cheers
Rhoody
nice new vids, I could watch this stuff for hours and hours..lol
especially if I’m drinking..heh
awesome videos
Im shocked
best stupid people tricks I have seen in a while! funny.
Takeshi’s Castle is re-running on UK TV Gold. I had not seen it before but they are crazy as…a bit like the old Endurance they used to do. Mad.
I think Spike dumped that show, but it’s so hilarious.
I share your joy, in knowing that MXC is back on the air, on Spike TV, Fridays at midnight Eastern. Rock on!@!!
