Johny’s Woopra Video and Invite Competition

John P.

April 10, 2008 By John P.

Woopra ScreenshotFolks, our friend Johny has uploaded a Woopra overview video which is so comprehensive it even taught me a couple of things about how the application works!

If you’re using Woopra currently, I recommend that you spend 10 minutes with the video and pick up at least a few new tricks. If not, you can see what all the buzz is about, and what you’ll soon be able to get access to.

For those of you who can’t wait till the closed beta ends to get started, there are two opportunities to get your invite now:

  1. If you are one of my regular commenters, or you are subscribed to my e-mail feed, head over to Woopra.com, create a login, request a Web site, then come drop a comment here and I will approve that site for you. (One per person please! And Spammy or Made-for-Adwords sites need not apply.) You have to promise to give Woopra some link love after you try it out!
  2. If you are NOT an OMB regular, Johny is giving out invites for people who download and edit his video (add graphics, speech, etc.), or who at least link to his post to spread the word. Download the video from Vimeo or Viddler. And if you do a good job we may even put it on Woopra.com for all to see!

Woopra Live in Action from johny on Vimeo.

PS – I mentioned on a previous post that I was going to hand out invites to folks, but I think I missed a few of you guys. Please don’t take it personally, I’ve been swamped! Anyway, it’s much quicker and easier for me now if you register and then let me know the URL to approve.

Hi John, can you approve t-shirt forums.com? I finally got into the members area and got the site added. The woopra site seems to be loading much faster now.

I can’t stay logged in to comment, I’m not getting any audio, and I’ve got a migraine to boot! :(

LOL! Not my day, eh? ;) I’d love an invite, though, John! Oh, I need to go sign up – gonna do it with Hippie Spelunker.

    Thanks so much!

    Hi
I’m a subscriber. I signed up but the confirmation email hasn’t come through after about half an hour, and is not in my spam folder.

It won’t let me sign up again saying my user name and email are taken, and it won’t let me move forward without the confirmation email.

    Any tips?

    Thanks!

    Derek,

We had a little problem after the site conversion, but it’s fixed now, so give it another try and let me know after you do. We’ll get you approved ASAP.

    Carlitos,

I’m sorry, but I didn’t get your e-mail. Sometimes my dedicated server is under really heavy load and hiccups. You might try and resend me the note. I know there are a few little glitches, and in fact I’ve fixed some but not updated the download package in a while, so I just have to find time to do it one of these days.

Anyway, I’ve approved you, so give Woopra a try and please let us know what you think!

I don’t know if i qualify for an invite but i will give it a try and sign up as soon as “cosmetic work” is done. I will use my blog’s url. Oh and this will give me something to blog about as well so you can expect a review :) If you activate my account that is. Thanks!

I signed up, but I can’t login. It seems like my information wasn’t saved because even when I click to send me a new password with an e-mail address where I just received a confirmation e-mail, I get a “password not registered” error. Anyways, I’d like to try it out with: goingthewongway.com. Not sure what’s going on with the whole creating a login deal, but hopefully you guys figure out whether I’m an exception or the rule.

It’s alright if your swamped that happens to a lot of people. You are probably getting thousands of emails waiting for the response so we’ll just let your be.

    Hello John!

Just a note about my website (http://argentinaslovenia.com). I’d love to try woopra!

    Thank you!

PS: I sent you some private email via the Contact Form, about a possible bug I found in Rapid Access w/ i18n, but I didn’t receive any feedback from the form, nothing like “thanks for your message” or similar… Sorry to bother, but did you receive that?
