  1. lol ..

nowww tell me .. what IS American food? I mean beyond MacDonald’s and a nut roast and that yukky, sickly sweet pecan pie?

  2. Jenny,

Yep you caught me! Don’t know why FireFox spell checks properly in the WordPress post area, but not the title area. I ruined Britain, and it didn’t even catch it! Oh well…

As far as the food is concerned, yes, you guys got the worst the US has to offer. And what’s worse still is that it isn’t half as good over there as it is here! And it costs twice as much!

    Cheers,

    John

  3. Well, we do have the talent to use a spell checker if we are unsure of how to spell a country’s name. You score another point for American diplomacy by spelling Britain as “Brittan”. Way to go! (As you say over there, lol)

I’ve not actually been to the USA, but I did make it as far as Canada. I can only assume from your comments on British cooking that the ability of the average chef is considerably higher in the USA than in Canada where I found the food to be particularly bland.

However, I am a little suspicious of your claim when considering that all America has given the UK for food is MacDonalds, badly made pizza (learn to cook it the Italian way!) and Tex-Mex slops.

  4. Good work.No doubt that the British are talented people but i still believe that America’s got talent is much better.

  5. Can’t cook!!!! Why you little….. :)

I would personally say our cooking is better than our talent, although interestingly our national dish is now defined as curry. Begone with the Beef and Yorkshires, bring us a nice Ruby any day.

Talent wise, I guess Leonna Lewis is doing well right now, she is a class act.
