Photos From San Francisco: Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39

John P.

July 30, 2009 By John P.

Seems like every time I go to San Francisco I spend time at Fisherman’s Wharf. Yeah, I know it’s touristy and all that, and I get around to the non-tourist places a lot too, but this place keeps me coming back. Something about all the vibrant colors, constant activity, and variety makes it truly magnetic.

Crabs-at-Fishermans-Wharf

So, I assembled a little collection of shots from up and down the Fisherman’s Wharf area, including some from Pier 39. This is one of the top places to see when visiting San Francisco, so here is a little sampling of what you’re in for when you do.

For those who are interested in full size versions of these images, I’ve posted them (and a few more) over in the Fisherman’s Wharf set on my Flickr account.

Beautful selection of San Fransisco photographs by John. The fisheye effect is really funky, I like that a lot. Those crabs look real tasty, did you eat any? Seafood is just the best.

That looks great! I have grown up around the ocean and love to see other areas of the world! I would one day love to vist the San Fran area and do a little fishing/walking around! It looks like something out of a movie with the Fishing boats and sky in backround of photos!

    Thanks for the post!

I was just there this past weekend! My girlfriend and other friends were doing the San Francisco Half Marathon. It was great to get out of the the soCal heat. Temps in SF were more to my liking in the 60’s. Good times!
