Holy crap! Norm Flores stopped me earlier and forced me to watch a YouTube video about the World’s Greatest Drummer. I was like… “Yeah, OK Norm. I’ll check it out later.” And he was like, “NO! You’ll check it out now!”

So I checked it out. And now I’m telling you, YOU have to check this out! No, not later… NOW!

First go ahead and start with this one. Oh, it’s incredible. But it won’t blow your mind…

Warmed up? Ok, now it’s time to bring out the big guns. You’re going to dream about this one. Your unborn children are going to dream about this one vicariously through you…

  3. I thought it was very entertaining. Isn’t that what the music business is? entertainment? Show-boating is a great talent in his business, and it looked like the rest of the band was encouraging him.

  4. I agree with the above. That’s pretty much just double and triple back-sticking integrated into basic beats. I find it more show-boating and a desperate cry for attention over the rest of the band than impressive.

  5. I highly disagree that this guy is the best drummer in the world. I wouldn’t put him in the top 10,000. He’s playing very simple things just with stupid tricks. Check out drummers like Vinnie Colaiuta, Dennis Chambers, Tony Royster Jr., ect.

  6. I’ll give it to him the guy has quite a bit of talent, but all of his flair is just fairly standard marching core techniques, just over-emphasized. If you were to give any professional marching drummer a few weeks to practice he would be able to do about the same thing.
