Those of you that know The Man know that I don’t eat green things. Instead, I eat things that eat green things. That being said, if I were going to directly consume salad I guess I’d have to go with the McDonald’s Grilled Chicken Asian Salad.
Although I previously posted about the loose definition of “grilled chicken” at McDonalds, the salad there seems to be relatively healthy. At least compared to Wendy’s Mandarin Chicken Salad.
Here is the comparison data:
McDonald’s Grilled Chicken Asian Salad
- Calories: 380
- Protein: 32 grams
- Carbohydrates: 37 grams
- Fat: 13 grams
- Fiber: 6 grams
- Sodium: 1,570 mg
Wendy’s Mandarin Chicken Salad
- Calories: 550
- Protein: 30 grams
- Carbohydrates: 54 grams
- Fat: 26 grams
- Fiber: 6 grams
- Sodium: 1,210 mg
At 1/2 the fat and 30% less calories it seems that on the health front Wendy’s is getting spanked! But of course, I’m not qualified to tell you if the McSalad tastes like a wet box of paper or if it’s actually good.
Perhaps someone will one day post a reply and let the world know.
oh get a grip theres alot of bad fatty food out there but we all eat it. And as far as I’m concerned I love Mcdonalds salad with crispy chicken. If we all were really concerned about what we eat and where we eat will starve to death just have to use common sense!
All mcdonalds chicken is processed with EVERYTHING else that is inside the chicken, including the head of the chicken, the bone, and the bone marrow! Healthy? I think not. Sure it may have a low amount of calories, but it doesn’t mean the ingredients are healthy. And yes, the “grilled chicken” is still processed with everything else in a chicken. the only thing that is not processed chicken at mcdonalds is the clearly read “Chicken Breast” and I’m not even sure if that’s on the menu anymore. We are mcdonalds haters for a reason. Their lack of nutrition is killing our future generation and the adults of today.
