For anyone who isn’t familiar with Ben Folds Five, they are a fantastic band with a number of massive hits. They also have a reputation for being great live performers, and Ben has developed a regular routine of making up songs on the fly that he calls “Rock This Bitch”.
Apparently it started somewhere when he was doing a concert and someone in the crowd screamed “Rock This Bitch!”, and a tradition was born. WARNING: Foul language in all of these impromptu songs!

Actally, the song “Rock this Bitch” is on the Ben Folds Live album…it came after he dropped the other two guys. There were never five guys in the band…Ben chose Five instead of Three so that if he added more bandmates he wouldn’t have to change the name…
I’ll shoot you the file so that you can hear the song…its pretty damn funny.
That is awesome Peter! I’ve never heard that one, but it’s always interesting what a live audience brings to the table.
John
Don’t know if you’ve heard of them, John, but here in Australia, there was a band called The Angels (Angel City for US releases) who released a song called “Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again?” in 1976 or thereabouts.
Anyhow, during the earliest live performances, the crowd started to chant “No way, get f***ed, f*** off” in between the lines of the chorus. In the early 90’s, the band released a fairly decent live version of the song where you can hear the crowd chant this particular mantra.
So, your example is not without precedent.
