Sometimes if you are at a craft fair you can find these impossible little puzzles, and people wonder not only how in the heck to solve them, but how in the heck they were made!

Well, here is the secret behind how the old “nail stuck impossibly in the wood” trick is pulled off. Its actually pretty easy to do if you’ve got a bandsaw, a drill, and some hot water handy. Take a look…

    Not to be nitpicky but that would be a table saw not a band saw.

    :-) Interesting video. I am a D-I-Y fan myself – but not inspired to try this. The wood treatment technique might come in useful some time, I suppose. Besides that – this is one crazy trick.

    That was really cool! It’s amazing that you can just *squish* up the wood like that – and then that it will pop back out and look normal! Very cool!
