How to Build A Self Feeding Fire

John P.

February 4, 2016 By John P.

This is one of the coolest (er, hottest) things I’ve ever seen, and definitely something I wish I had known about when I was doing a lot more camping..  and even back when I was a Boy Scout.

It turns out that it’s fairly simple to build a fire that will continue feeding itself logs and burning all through the night.

I don’t know about you, but when I go camping and it’s chilly outside it’s always nice to be near a fire, but you have to constantly wake up to put more wood on it or else it’s going to get very cold. This methodology allows you to do a little more work in advance but it will keep a fire burning for nearly a day.

Check out the video for a complete demonstration.
